Welcome !

       Ma Cachette ( = My Hide-away ) is situated in the heart of the French Auvergne, which produces some of the best cheeses in France ( - heard that one before ? ).  We are in a valley with the Livradois mountains on the one side and the Forez on the other.  We are therefore part of the beautiful Parc Naturel Régional Livradois-Forez.

         It is an area which, apart from its beautiful scenery, has numerous historical sites to visit, lovely and well-maintained walks closeby and in the mountains, mushrooms in the forests, and many cultural festivals in summer.

       The less adventurous may relax in the interesting garden or the comfortable lounge and try out our selection of teas - we even have Yorkshire and Irish teas . . . .
